Season 2 Reloaded for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 introduces a new Zombies map called Paradox Junction. This round-based map takes place on a twisted version of the classic Nuketown location created by Treyarch. While the layout may feel familiar to longtime Zombies fans, the quest required to unlock the Pack-a-Punch machine works a little differently compared to other maps in the game. Players must complete several hidden steps, including using truck keys, traveling to the past, and disrupting a strange temporal storm.
Most Zombies maps in Black Ops 7 guide players clearly through early objectives. Typically, the game marks important locations and shows players exactly where to go to unlock Pack-a-Punch. On Paradox Junction, however, the objective markers disappear after the first few steps, leaving players unsure of how to continue the quest.
The process begins with a marker that directs players behind the yellow house on the map. After opening the door in that area, you will find a corpse lying nearby. Interacting with the body allows you to collect a set of truck keys. Once you pick them up, a new objective appears telling you to move a destroyed truck by “jumping to the past.”
At this point, the map provides no additional guidance. Many players may try searching the area or experimenting with different interactions while keeping one zombie alive during a round. Unfortunately, progress cannot continue until a specific event occurs during the match.
The next step requires completing a special round of enemies. In Paradox Junction, these rounds feature Rad-Hounds. These creatures behave similarly to the Plague-Hounds seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Instead of normal zombies, a pack of toxic hellhounds will spawn and aggressively attack players.
Your first Rad-Hound round usually appears somewhere between rounds five and seven. Surviving this wave is essential because it triggers a time-travel event. After defeating the horde, players are suddenly transported to a past version of Nuketown where the environment has not yet been destroyed.
In this earlier timeline, the truck you saw before is still intact. Approach the vehicle and interact with it to use the keys you collected earlier. This action allows you to move the truck and clear the path forward. Once the truck has been repositioned, players gain access to a new section of the map that was previously blocked.
Although this step brings you closer to the Pack-a-Punch machine, there is still one final objective left to complete. The next task is labeled “Disrupt the temporal storm.”
Look up into the sky to locate a massive storm cloud hovering above the map. Inside the cloud, you will notice several glowing yellow orbs. These are the targets you need to destroy. Use your weapons to shoot the orbs one by one.
Each orb you destroy will spawn a group of zombies with glowing purple eyes. These enemies must be eliminated underneath the storm cloud area before you can move on to the next orb. Continue repeating this process by destroying the remaining orbs and defeating the purple-eyed zombies that appear.
After all four orbs have been destroyed and their spawned enemies defeated, the storm will dissipate. This completes the quest step and activates the Pack-a-Punch machine, allowing you to upgrade your weapons for the rest of the match.
